Ben Stiller is back behind the camera as well as in front of it for his new comedy, Tropic Thunder. This time around the story is about a movie within a movie as the big name cast take on characters filming a war movie that get mixed up in a real life war. If you had heard anything about this before it was probably because first Owen Wilson had to drop out due to that whole suicide attempt thing (Jack Black took over the role). Then there was the big reveal that Robert Downey Jr. would be playing an actor who goes through a “procedure” to become a black man for the role and then seems to lose himself in that new character.

The big budget mixed with big names looks like it just might be the right formula for a late summer hit. Plus it’s nice to see Stiller finally do a movie without getting his not-so-much-on-acting wife, Christine Taylor, included in the deal.
