Ember and Chanel posters debut online

emberpostercut.jpgBill Murray’s upcoming family fantasy “City of Ember” got a teaser poster yesterday, and while this one-sheet doesn’t reveal much, it sure leaves me wanting more. Due in theaters on Oct. 10, 2008, the film focuses on two teenagers who race against time to help the citizens of Ember escape before the city’s powerful generator breaks down and all the lights go out forever.

Gil Kenan, the man behind 2006’s animated hit “Monster House,” directs the adaptation of Jeanne Duprau’s book. Murray stars as the mayor of Ember, and joins a cast including Tim Robbins, Saoirse Ronan, Toby Jones and Mackenzie Crook. Enjoy the teaser poster below.

The second poster we have today is from Anne Fontaine’s upcoming French biopic “Before Chanel” (French title: “Coco Avant Chanel”), which examines the life and career of renowned fashion designer Coco Chanel. In my opinion, they couldn’t have cast anyone better suited for this role than the fabulous Audrey Tautou, whose career really took off with “Amelie,” still one of my favorite French flicks of all time.
