With JJ Abrams’ new movie Cloverfield just weeks away from its January 18th 2007 release the hype continues to build. (Okay, not kidding, but just as I started typing this post an old man on tonight’s Law & Order started talking about his store over on, wait for it, Cloverfield.) So while just about every little detail has been kept overly secret, like the alleged movie title which turned out to be the actual title, the picture below is rumored to be that mysterious, unseen monster as it is cleverly disguised with the title “Cloverfield Monster”. So what’s the first thing that monster reminds you of? Um, yeah, lice. So in two weeks New York is going to be attacked by an oversized lice bug? The picture even says “Monster Louse” in the middle on the right. Sigh. Thanks JJ. Lost’s return better make up for this.
Okay, so let’s take a closer look and see what else is there. While the giant louse is certainly a stand out part of this monster the other, at least to me, is distinctly a humpback whale. Combining the louse with the humpback whale gives you… tada, the Cloverfield Monster. Yeah, that doesn’t really help, does it?
